Editorial policy

  1. Publicações do CIDEHUS includes the collections Biblioteca - Estudos & Colóquios and Fontes e Inventários.
    1. Biblioteca - Estudos & Colóquios publishes original research works of high scientific rigor and degree of innovation.
    2. Fontes e Inventários publishes search tools from libraries, archives, or others, as well as sources and documentation of scientific interest.
    3. Publicações do CIDEHUS will give preference to books that are directly related to the South and to the strategic project of CIDEHUS.
    4. Selected works will be published in ebook format and will be made available in open access.
  2. Each collection has an Editorial Board and a Scientific Committee.
    1. The Editorial Board of Biblioteca - Estudos & Colóquios is constituted by a director (appointed by the CIDEHUS Board of Directors), the coordinators of each research group, a technical assistant, and Publicações do CIDEHUS' editorial assistant.
    2. The Editorial Board of Fontes e Inventários is constituted by a director (appointed by the CIDEHUS Board of Directors), PhD integrated members of CIDEHUS, and Publicações do CIDEHUS' editorial assistant.
    3. Each collection has a Scientific Committee that is proposed by the director of the Editorial Board to the CIDEHUS Board of Directors.
    4. These bodies will decide on the adequacy of submissions at the beginning of the evaluation process and select the scientific reviewers.
  3. If the submission is approved, the director will send the text to two national or international experts for evaluation in a double-blind peer review process.
    1. The specialists will assess the scientific relevance of the publication in accordance with the peer review guidelines approved by CIDEHUS.
    2. Reviewers will either accept (with or without changes) or decline the publication of the submission.
    3. If necessary, the opinion of a third expert will be requested.
  4. Publicações do CIDEHUS accepts submissions from any author, whether or not they are members of CIDEHUS.
  5. The collections of Publicações do CIDEHUS are permanently open to submissions.
  6. The collections of Publicações do CIDEHUS follow the Code of Ethics approved by CIDEHUS' Board of Directors.
